No matter where the location of the actual ceremony is, brides should definitely plan at least one event on the pale pink sand beach framed by clear turquoise water. What could be a more beautiful, fairy-tale setting?
“As wedding guests are usually on island for at least three days, there’s lots to do to keep everyone busy – from charming shops and a variety of restaurants to in-house massage and personal training to boat charters for diving, snorkeling, fishing (deep sea and bone) and picnics on a deserted island. All of which we can organize for clients who rent villas through us.
“Another fun feature on the island are the golf carts which are how one gets around. One bride even planned a island-wide treasure hunt and guests had great fun zipping around clutching the list of things they must find. Golf carts are also ideal as one can’t get into too much trouble – especially after a couple of glasses of champagne!”
For a small wedding of under 20 people, Pamela recommends the Six Shillings Villa. The secluded estate has two lovely beach houses located on two acres of well-landscaped oceanfront property. The main house features a Great Room with cathedral ceilings, a comfortable living area, dining alcove and a fully equipped kitchen. There are three spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms that open onto a wrap around deck with both shaded and sunny sitting areas as well as a covered dining area overlooking the beach.
Twenty-five feet from the main house is a quaint cottage, tucked in the lush garden, which can accommodated an additional two guests. It’s immersed in palms and bougainvilleas and the other flowering trees scattered throughout the garden. The beach is a mere few steps away.
