The discrete property occupies 2+ acres of tropically landscaped gardens on a beautiful stretch of St. Jean Beach. The ground floor of the compound’s two-storied main house encompasses a spacious living room, a professionally equipped kitchen and a pair of powder rooms. Here you will also find an en-suite guest bedroom which is handicapped accessible. On the second floor is a large master suite with deluxe en-suite his-and-her baths, a sitting area and a deck overlooking the pool and out to the sea. Access is by a staircase or elevator.
Exiting the main house you can relax or dine in open-air pavilions, cozy gazebos or next to the beautiful heated swimming pool, the larger of the two in the compound, surrounded by a lush green lawn and shaded by palm trees. A bordering teak deck is furnished with comfortable chaise lounges. Alternatively, take a moment of solitude at the exotic statuary: a “temple” overlooking the second heated pool. A kitchen and guest bath are a nice convenience for those enjoying this pool or some beach time.
Additional amenities include a separate, equipped office, a tennis court, and a well-equipped air-conditioned gym which has a steam room, a bath and a quiet room for relaxing between workouts.
There is a total of twelve bedrooms. In addition to the accommodation found in the main house, the unique pavilions house another ten bedrooms. These contain either one or two bedrooms each with different configurations and features. Two connect internally, making them ideal for guests with younger children. One two-bedroom has a queen and a twin (each one has a bathroom in separate pavilions) and there is a kitchenette. Others have sitting areas, living rooms, decks and furnished verandahs. All the bedrooms have TVs with French and U.S. satellite service and iPod docking stations.
Camp David has a Caribbean sense-of-place, and a warm, elegant Old-World feel paired with beachy-casual comfort throughout. Romantic draped four posters (the majority are French kings) and whirling ceiling fans grace the bedrooms and the spacious main living room artfully manages to be cozy with plush white-slip-covered sofas.
Its proximity to St. Jean offers easy access to its village of stylish boutiques and bistros that will add to what will certainly be a dream beach vacation.
